Digital Evidence First Responder

This introductory course is designed to instruct sworn law enforcement officers on proactive investigation of persons who use computer-based systems to facilitate crimes, and how to collect and preserve digital evidence. The student will learn how to recognize and identify various items of digital evidence, as well as develop leads from the internet and related computer and telecommunication devices. Investigators that work missing persons, sex crimes, fraud, robbery, narcotics, money laundering, homicides and terrorism will find this course especially useful.
