Tactical Shotgun

This course is designed for experienced law enforcement officers in the safe handling and shooting of the shotgun. The training will include: Refresher on Shotgun Marksmanship Fundamentals (Grip, Stance, Sight Alignment & Sight Picture, Trigger Control, Breathing and Follow Through), Controlled Shotgun Positions & Handling Techniques, Combat/Tactical Loading & Reloading, Malfunction – Stoppage Clearance, Cruiser Safe & Cruiser Ready Condition, Shotgun Ammunition, Shooting Drills from Different Positions, Cover vs. Concealment, Shooting Behind Barricades, Safe Movement with Shotgun, Moving to and from Cover or Concealment, Shotgun to Handgun Transition Drills and other exercises and drills.
(Equipment Required: Shotgun, Sling, Equipment Belt, Handgun, Eye/Ear Protection, 100 – 200 Rounds of Shotgun Shells and Ammunition/Shotgun Shell Carriers).
